A spinning prize wheel for a Whales of Guererro fundraiser
A good friend asked me to help her make a spinning prize wheel for a local fundraiser. Sure! I started out with a bicycle wheel for the turning mechanism but then moved to a Lazy Susan. Pro tip – go with the bike wheel! The Lazy Susan is meant to be flat, not attached to a vertical surface. It worked, but it wouldn’t hold up long term.
The creatures are all paper mache on foam core and most covered with tissue. The seahorses also have hot glue to make their spikes. Each animal has magnets embedded into the back for easy sticking. I think my favorite is the shark.
